Troy Watson explores some of the different Christologies implied in the New Testament, the different Christologies within the early church and the debate over Jesus' identity at the Council of Nicea.
Note: I rushed through a lot of this information, especially the last section comparing Jesus as the Logos or Word of God with the Old Testament understanding of the Wisdom of God. To clarify, the point Arianism makes with this comparison is that if Jesus is Divine Wisdom personified, this means Jesus was created before creation (the firstborn of creation or the first act of creation) but the rest of creation was created through him. This would also mean Jesus was divine but not deity, meaning Jesus was one with God but not equal to or the same in substance with God. Just to clarify as many were inquiring what I was talking about:)
